Ko se je Kristen Campbell (36) s sončne Floride preselila v London, je verjetno pričakovala dež, čaj, mini obložene kruhke in kakšen zadržan »sorry« oziroma oprostite. Namesto tega je dobila kulturni vrtiljak, ob katerem bi marsikateri Američan dvignil obrv – ali pa kar telefon. Na tiktoku zdaj zabava množice z vprašanjem: »Kako je to sploh lahko zakonito?!« In seznam je … kar pester.

Prvi primer: stave na vsakem vogalu. Medtem ko so v ZDA igre na srečo dolgo živele v posebnih conah (beri: Las Vegas ali nič), so v Britaniji stavnice skoraj tako pogoste kot pekarne. Kristen se iskreno čudi: »Greš po mleko … in mimogrede še malo staviš?« Zakaj pa ne.

Drugi šok pride kar na cesti. Dobesedno. Prečkanje zunaj  prehoda? V Britaniji je to že skoraj nacionalni šport. Kristen priznava, da se ob vsakem takem manevru počuti kot upornica brez razloga. V ZDA bi jo morda ustavil policist, v Londonu pa te prej čudno pogledajo, če ne prečkaš kar tam, kjer ti ustreza.
